The southeastern faced Vilmány was mentioned among the best vineyard areas of Mád in 1950. In the past there was a Big (Nagy-) and a Little (Kis-) Vilmány, the latter being mentioned as a 2nd Class Growth in 1798 and 1867. The name refers to the wine-growing village Vilmány in neighboring Abaúj County.
